In this book the numbers are racing each other up the apple tree. Throughout the book zero is constantly asking if there will be room for him. Once they reach the number twenty the book begins to count by tens. After ninety nine zero begins to cry and hides behind the tree while the bees chase all the other numbers out of the tree. Zero then finds his place next to ten and makes the number one hundred.

Spaghetti and Meatballs for All By: Marilyn Burns
This book is about Mr. and Mrs. Comfort wanting to host a dinner party. After they figure out how much food they will need Mrs. Comfort plans a seating arrangement that will fit everyone. Once guests begin to arrive they move tables and chairs, and push them together. Her seating plan is ruined. She tries to tell everyone it won’t work, but no one listens. The guests continue to move chairs and tables until eventually the seating arrangement is back to her original plan.

A Very Improbable Story: A Math Adventure By: Edward Einhorn
Ethan wakes up one morning and has a talking cat on his head. Odds, the cat, tells Ethan he refuses to leave until Ethan beats all of the probabilities. He has all of these challenges he must complete to get rid of the cat in time for his soccer game. He is able to complete all of the tasks in time to make it to his game. At the game he uses probability to think about the chances of making different shots in the game.
