There was a boy who loved the tree. He would eat her apples
and swing from her branches every day. He gets older and needs money, so she
gives him her apples to sell. Later he returns and needs a house. She gives him
he branches to go and build one. He returns again and needs a boat. She gives
him her trunk so he can go and make one. He returns once again, but she has
nothing left to give him. This time all the old man wants is a place to sit and
rest. The trunk of the tree is perfect for that. This time the tree is happy.

Out Came the Sun By: Heather Collins
A family of stuffed animals goes throughout their day. As
the day goes on different nursery rhymes are sung. They start out with ones
such as “Pat-a-cake” all the way to “I’m a little teapot”. The author makes
sure to match the rhymes to actions the animals are doing.
